Poland is becoming an increasingly attractive country not only for our neighbors from behind our eastern border, but also for foreigners from distant states.
Voivods will receive an additional PLN 42 million to improve the service of foreigners who want to legalize their stay in Poland and obtain a work permit. The number of cases with which foreigners turn to voivodeship offices is constantly increasing. Polish Office for Foreigners informs that in the first half of 2017 applications for residence permits in Poland were submitted by nearly 90 thousand foreigners. That’s 42 percent more people than in the corresponding period of 2016 and 87% more than in 2015.
The growing number of cases requires support to agencies that have not previously faced such a large number of foreigners served. The subsidy will cover more than 30 projects totaling approximately PLN 42 million. Their implementation will begin after the signing of agreements with the voivods. Money will be spent, among others to create helplines, training of officials serving foreigners, purchase and installation of the necessary office equipment, as well as repair and modernization works in the offices of the offices.
The source of funding is money from the EU Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (FAMI). It is a mechanism established for the years 2014-2020, which can be beneficiaries both private and public. The purpose of FAMI is “to contribute to the effective management of migration flows and to the implementation, strengthening and development of a common policy on asylum, complementary and temporary protection and a common immigration policy fully respecting the rights and principles enshrined in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union.”
Another good way to become a polish resident is to start a business in Poland or buy a ready-made, clean, shelf polish Limited Liability Company with no history dedicated to the profile of the activity. For foreign investors migration offices offer some ways to get a Polish business visa or permanent residence permit. Having a polish company eg. Limited Liability Company ( LLC ) is very much appreciated by the officials of the migration offices and can be the best start for the further moves in the EU countries. Professional, polish business consulting companies with adequate knowledge and experience can help to choose the best way, avoid significant mistakes in the first contacts with Polish officials and complete all the necessary formalities.
Most often citizens of Ukraine want to settle in Poland. The increase in interest in the legalization of stay is also noticeable among Belarusian citizens (permanent residents and work permit), India ( mainly temporary residence) and Chinese, Vietnamese (both business visa and work permit). You can also see the interest of citizens of the Middle East countries eg. Iran, United Arab Emirates(mainly business EU visa , permanent residence).
Decisions on legalization of residence are issued by the voivode. In the first half of the year, the residence permit received 62 thousand foreigners. In the case of 6,7 thousand people were given negative decisions, and nearly 3,000 matters were discontinued.Currently valid documents authorizing the stay in Poland already have more than 300 thousand of foreigners.
