Balkan countries want to join the EU and tighten their co-operation.

Prime Ministers of the Western Balkans countries have agreed on a roadmap to deepen regional economic cooperation on Saturday. This is to be part of the process of integrating the countries of the region with the European Union.

The agreement came at the meeting in the Albanian city of Durres, where Albania’s prime minister Edi Rama hosted his counterparts from Serbia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Montenegro.

Rama said that the prime ministers had agreed a 115-point plan that would allow “a fundamental transformation of the flow of goods, services, capital and skilled labour.” This is to create the region more attractive for investment, flexible in trade, accelerate economic growth and raise the standard of living of the people during the integration process with the EU.’

More and more often non-EU investors want to set up business in one of the countries of the European Community. Opening a new company inside the EU territory for eg. in Poland is a very popular trend these days. There are two main possibilities to start a business in Poland : remote new Limited Liability company (LLC) formation or purchase of a ready made, shelf Polish company. These both methods are on the list of services of Polish business consulting companies and are one of the best ways to get a business visa to Poland and then apply for the Temporary Residence Permit (TRP).

The EU Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn and Cyril Muller – Vice-President of the World Bank, also attended the meeting. “Creating an economic zone is something that supports the European aspirations of the Western Balkan states,” Hahn said. “It is finally done in the interests of the people and will improve the quality of their lives,” he added.

The Commissioner underlined that despite the fact that the exchange of goods between EU Member States and six Balkan countries doubled in the last decade to € 46 billion, “bilateral ties in the region have not changed.” He also praised Macedonia and Serbia for solving the latest bilateral diplomatic crisis.

In July, Italy reached the EU-Western Balkans Summit, which was to stimulate economic growth through stronger regional connections.
